Polar scientist and glaciologist Dr. Peter Neff studies the climate record preserved within glaciers and ice sheets. Through repeated expeditions to Antarctica, he uses ice core records to better understand how Earth’s climate is changing. For Peter, Antarctica is more than a remote research destination. The ice itself holds clues that help scientists understand climate change on a global scale.
Before returning to Antarctica, Peter put UltraPeak™ through a week of subzero temperatures in Minnesota. The experience reflected a familiar challenge from polar fieldwork: staying comfortable through constant transitions between movement and waiting, without having to think about what you're wearing.
