PrimaLoft® Sustainability Initiatives

Recycled Materials

Working with recycled instead of new materials is an important part of PrimaLoft®’s sustainability commitment. By recovering pre- and post-consumer plastics and reducing reliance on virgin materials, we've expanded our portfolio so that 70% of our products are now made with 100% recycled materials - combining measurable, industry-defining change with trusted performance.

PrimaLoft partners and manufacturing sites maintain Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certifications.

Manufacturing

Reducing manufacturing emissions is central to our decarbonization journey. PrimaLoft P.U.R.E.® manufacturing technology helps reduce carbon emissions by 50% or more compared to traditional manufacturing methods and achieved an 82% reduction in 2023 compared to traditional manufacturing equivalents.

Based on internal GHG emissions calculations, comparative manufacturing emissions analysis, GHG Protocol-aligned methodology, AB 1305 disclosure, and the PrimaLoft® Relentlessly Responsible Report

Durability

Creating products that last longer is a key part of reducing environmental impact. PrimaLoft® insulation is engineered for long-lasting performance and undergoes durability testing designed to simulate real-world product use conditions, helping maintain performance over time.

Based on internal testing, laboratory testing, field testing, and product performance validation (ISO 17025 laboratory & AATCC testing).

Biodegradability

PrimaLoft® Bio technology helps us create insulations that are designed to return to materials found in nature. By considering a product's full lifecycle, including microplastic shedding during wear and washing, as well as end-of-life, it helps reduce its long-term impact without compromising performance.

Based on ASTM D5511, D6691, and D5210 testing, third-party biodegradation testing, and internal technology documentation.

Circularity

The future of textile manufacturing starts with making more from what already exists. PrimaLoft® ReRun technologies transform reclaimed textile waste into premium, high-performance insulation through textile-to-textile recycling, helping keep valuable materials in use for longer.

Based on mechanical and regenerative recycling process documentation, product testing, and internal performance validation.

Continuous improvement

Relentlessly Responsible™ means never standing still. We continually challenge how high-performance insulation is designed, made, and improved, working with partners across our supply chain to advance responsible manufacturing, material innovation, and product performance for the future.

Our products are produced without intentionally added PFAS, supported by annual testing for harmful substances and ongoing collaboration with suppliers to meet evolving regulations.
